Although this stainless steel gas BBQ’s smaller size might reduce its usefulness for big parties and cookouts, it’s perfect for a small family or tailgating.

The burner, body, and shelves are stainless steel. The cooking grate is cast iron, which helps ensure even cooking. As with all cast iron cookware, you should season it first.

This BBQ has a twist-start ignition feature and stainless steel temperature gauge. It puts out 12,000 BTU, but I personally don’t think BTUs are very important. Grill size and design have a lot more to do with how well a grill performs than raw BTU measurements. My advice is not to get too caught up with numbers like this. Just look at overall performance.

The CGG-200 runs off of standard 14oz or 16oz propane canisters, although you can also hook it up to a 20lb propane tank using the Cuisinart propane tank adaptor hose.

Total cooking area is about 240 square inches. The general consensus among reviewers is that this BBQ holds a pretty good amount of food: around 6-8 burgers or 4 medium-sized steaks. Many people remarked that it heats up within five minutes, which is pretty quick.

At around 40lbs, the grill is on the heavy side, but that also suggests that it’s nice and sturdy.

This grill is hands-down the highest-rated small stainless steel BBQ on, and it received glowing reviews from many other sources as well. Consumer Reports gave it a 53 out of 100 (a “good” rating) but keep in mind it was in the same category as much larger grills.

At around $175, it’s a little on the pricey side for a portable gas BBQ. But it looks like it’s a really solid product, and if you pick up the matching grill stand, there’s no reason this BBQ can’t also double as your primary grill.
