Weber Genesis II Review 2021
The Weber Genesis S-310 is a killer stainless steel BBQ. It’s part of the Weber Genesis series, which is one step below their high-end Summit series of BBQs. At around $800 it’s the least expensive Weber stainless steel grill.
The Weber Genesis S-320 stainless steel BBQ is identical to the S-310 except that is features an additional 12,000 BTU side burner, so everything in this review applies to the S-320 as well.
This U.S. made grill has 3 stainless steel burners which produce 42,000 BTUs (but like I’ve said before, don’t get too hung up on BTUs). The primary cooking area is 507 sq in, which is about 3.5 sq ft. The warming rack adds an additional 130 sq in. There’s some extra room in the lower storage section of the cart, but not much. The cart is on heavy duty caster, two of them lock.
The Genesis S-310 is 64.5 inches high, 60 inches wide, and 30 inches deep. It weighs 160 lbs.
The Genesis S-310′s twin brother (the E-310, identical but not stainless steel) received Consumer Reports’ highest rating of all reviewed grills: 86 out of 100. Actually, it tied for first place with another great grill — the Vermont Castings Signature Series VCS300SSP.
Amazon reviewers also loved this Weber stainless steel BBQ and had almost nothing negative to say about it. The general consensus is that the Genesis S-310 is incredibly well built and worth the money.
Probably the biggest issue most people had with this grill was assembling it . It looks like it can take 2-3 hours. Some noted that the instructions aren’t very clear and it’s easy to mix up the different types of screws.
There were also a couple reviewers who didn’t like the plastic trim on the edges of the shelves. Just a cosmetic thing, but still worth pointing out.
